Hydraulic Control Lines are used in a number of downhole applications serving the purpose of delivering hydraulic supply to operate a Safety Valve or, opening or closing an isolation device. Another common application for control lines is Chemical Injection whereas the line is used as conduit to deliver chemical to various points in the production tubing. We manufacturer a variety of sizes and alloys in both welded and seamless.
Seamless control lines are used in SCSSV, Chemical Injection, and Advanced Well Completions. Seamless tubes provide another tubing solution for our customer's complex well designs. The nickel content in Alloy 825 provides resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking. The nickel, in conjunction with the molybdenum and copper, also gives Alloy 825 tubing great resistance to reducing environments, like those containing sulfuric and phosphoric acids. Aiding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is one of the chief benefits of the molybdenum. Resistance to a variety of oxidizing substances such as nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts comes from the chromium content. Titanium, often with heat treatment, serves to stabilize the alloy against sensitization to inter granular corrosion.
